How to Turn the Other Cheek and Still Survive in Today's World, by Suzette Haden Elgin (1997, Thomas Nelson), paperback, 252 p.
Boundaries: When to Say Yes, When to Say No, by Drs. Henry Cloud & John Townsend (1992, Zondervan), hardcover, 304p.
Like many Christians, I struggle with setting limits on how others treat (or mistreat) me and my time. For many of us, it's a difficult balance--being willing to serve without being abused. This book helped me understand the difference and changed my life. Great book!

The New Daily Walk Bible, New International Version, Bruce Wilkinson, executive editor (1997, Tyndale), hardcover.
One of the most important New Year's resolutions I ever decided upon was reading through the Bible in one year. I finally succeeded after purchasing the New King James Version of this Daily Walk Bible in January 1997. For the first time I stayed on track and finished reading the Bible in one year. This Bible is divided by date into sections, prefaced with an overview, a one-paragraph devotional, a one-sentence "quote" that sums up the day's scripture reading, and a brief note illuminating any historical or textual insight. This preface is short so you spend most of your time reading the "real thing," God's Word--about four chapters a day, six days a week. I liked it so much I'm drawn back to it every morning. Why not get yourself a copy and do the same? I recommend the hardcover version so you can use it year after year, but it's also available in paperback. Makes an excellent gift for yourself or someone you love.
